PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS

Simple construction means that these are great for anyone new to sewing clothes. We recommend them as a perfect first garment to make!

ADD POCKETS

The pattern features a front square pocket, but don't stop there, add in seam pockets with our hack or more patch pockets on the legs.

OVERSIZED STRAPS

Straps which are cut too long on purpose! The idea is you can add multiple buttonholes and change the strap length if you're layering with a jumper or a tee.

SLOUCHY SHAPE

No waist fastening! Not only does this mean that they're the loungiest, slouchiest shape, they're easy to construct!

TIE STRAPS

Adapt the pattern with tie straps. Our hack has all of the pieces you need to do this along with making a facing to trap loops in.

How much fabric do you need?

On both 115cm and 140cm wide fabric, you will need 2.8m for all sizes.

I've never bought a PDF pattern, how does it work?

Upon purchase, you will receive a link to download the product. This will come with A4, A3 and A0 versions of the pattern as well as an instruction book. There is printing help in the instruction book, but simply print the pieces out and stick them together - each one is labelled with lines and numbers, so it's super simple! If you don't fancy sticking the pieces together, simply send the A0 version to a copy shop.

I'm not a very experienced sewer, will I be able to make this?

Yes! We always recommend Hayley as a perfect first garment to make. Add on the hack as well if you don't fancy tackling buttonholes.

I'm stuck on constructing part of the pattern, what should I do?

Just get in touch! We're always available to help! You can find us on Instagram or at contact@helloworkshop.co.uk. It's best to send a couple of pictures of the step you're up to, just so we can visualise the stage you're at.

How should I fit Hayley?

All final garment measurments are included in the pattern, along with a size guide. However if you're between sizes, base the fit on the hip measurement. Hayley is designed to be slouchy and simply pull on over the hips, so making them wide enough here is the most important part.
