How to make a dress
In this class you’ll sew your own Lucy Dress! She's a lovely style and extremely versatile. To find out more about Lucy, take a look here.
We’ll show you how to:
- Cut out your pattern
- The basics of using an overlocker
- Sew darts
- Stitch Knife Pleats
- Insert a Concealed Zip
- Sew in a Hook and Eye
- Stitch a Hem
While the class is 5 hours long, you are welcome to stay in the cafe afterwards to finish your project!
This pattern fits sizes 6-16.
A small class of up to 4 people allows us to give you full tuition.
You’ll need to provide the fabric and a matching thread. See images to work out how much material you will need.
We recommend a softer fabric for this with good drape
We’ll provide a zip, a hook and eye, the sewing machines, the pattern with instructions and the guidance.
5 hour long class including a drink, however you're welcome to stay afterwards and use the facilities free of charge.
Class time may vary from class to class depending on number of participants. If you've booked a class and are no longer to attend, please let us know 2 weeks before.
