Learn Hand Embroidery and Embellishment in this Mandala Workshop

This 3 hour workshop will combine all of the techniques and ideas of colour, pattern and texture to help you create your own mandala inspired textile art design.

You will add your own embellishments, decorative stitches and design ideas - those who have attended the sketchbook session could also bring along some of their paper pages to be cut up into decorative sequins to add to the mandala designs. Working in an embroidery hoop will give you the shape of your finished textile art piece so that you can take it home to display with pride. All materials are provided and this class is also suitable for beginners in textiles art.

As well as traditional textile materials Jessica will also show you how to incorporate recycled and waste materials such as plastic packaging and papers into your artwork. This is a technique based class so each person will be able to create a design that is unique to them.

This class is suitable for beginners wanting to try something new as well as those with more experience in textiles that would like to expand their skills and techniques. No previous stitch experience is required as Jessica will teach you all the techniques that you will need to know for the class.

All materials are included in the ticket price, all you have to bring along is yourself and a willingness to be creative!
