Join us for a fragrant evening of spice blending, celebrating the delicate and aromatic flavors of chai spice. We’ll explore the wellness and culinary benefits of various teas, spices, and herbs that are used in chai blends from all over the Middle-East & The Indian Subcontinent. Chai spice is not just for brewing; we’ll learn about the different ways these spice blends can be steeped, simmered, and sizzled to enhance our cooking. Participants will take home 3 different spice blends to enjoy throughout the season.
This is a low waste “Bring Your Own Jar” Workshop. Participants should to bring 3 small jars with them to fill with their unique signature chai blends.
Originally from Montreal with a multicultural heritage that has surrounded her with food, Melanie has always been enthusiastic about mixing flavours and spices. Having moved to Leeds in 2011, she now runs vegetarian cooking workshops and has her own small batch and specialty food business called Spice & Green.
