Fantasy Floral Embellishments Online Workshop

Learn techniques to create beautiful floral designs on fabric with a range of mixed media materials combined with hand embroidery. Jessica Grady will show you some of her techniques to create the most beautiful blooms including 3D folded petals, beaded stamens and curling leaves and vines. 

As well as traditional textile materials Jessica will also show you ways to include recycled and waste materials and transform them into embellished treasure. Within the 90 min Zoom workshop you will create a mini textile sampler of floral ideas that you can take forward into other projects or even frame up your sampler as your own textile art piece. 
This is an online workshop. 

How does it work?

Prior to the session you will receive all of the equipment and materials you will need through the post. Along with a Meeting ID and Password for Zoom. Using these, you can log in to the class at the time of the workshop!

What's included?

Lucky dip containing a mix of the following items. Each participant will receive a unique pack.

  • Swatches of textiles/recycled plastics/papers

  • Mix of small sequins/embellishments

    Jessica is a contemporary embroidery artist who works from her studio in Leeds with the assistance of her studio cat Spencer the tabby! She create colourful and highly tactile textiles and sculptures that utilise many recycled and waste materials. She also teaches workshops and courses across the country to schools, private groups and organisations. Jessica’s work has been sold and exhibited across the UK and Europe and she is also a Crafts Council Directory maker. She was awarded the Embroiderers Guild Scholar award in 2018 for her textile practice.
