Mark Making and Pattern Techniques Online Workshop

Learn how to create your own colourful collage using a combination of recycled waste scraps and hand stitch techniques. We will start the workshop by arranging shapes and materials onto our A4 card background - you will be introduced to techniques of layering shapes together, cutting and creating patterns and mixing colours until you have your perfect abstract design. These shapes will then be secured into place with decorative hand stitch and embellishment techniques. Embroidery techniques include; french knots, couching and straight stitch ideas.

Jessica will also demonstrate how to add sequins and other embellishments onto your collage design to give a final finished flair! You will finish the online workshop with your own A4 collage that you can frame up or embellish even further.
