Felt Landscape Workshop with Janine Jacques
Have you always wondered how to make a felt landscape and fancied a go? In this relaxed workshop you will be taught wet felting techniques to create your own felt landscape. It's perfect for beginners!
Images of landscapes to work from will be provided, however we'd love you to bring your own too. Ideally this should be a pure landscape (no buildings, animals or people) and we'll take you through step by step how to transform it into felt.
You'll end up with your own felted landscape approx. 20x20cm, which can be further embellished in your own time with needle felting, stitches, beads, embroidery thread - the possibilities are endless.
This class is 4 hours long and includes:
- All equipment
- Merino wool
- Landscape pictures (if you don’t have your own)
- A drink
You will need to bring:
- A small towel (to take your artwork home in)
- Any images you'd like to work from
With a degree in Fine Art Painting and Drawing, P.G.C.E. in Secondary Art Education and a career in web design Janine Jacques has been creative all her life.
For over three years she has been making felt art using the wet felting method. Creating felt 'paintings', tea cosies and bowls from merino wool inspired by landscapes she has visited. Her felt artwork can be found in Gallery shops in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
