Learn Hand Embroidery in this Floral Hoop Class

Come along and create your own embellished floral design that will be secured in an embroidery hoop frame. Jessica will help you make, layer and stitch your floral inspired shapes to create a beautiful piece of textile art.

Techniques that you will learn in the class include:

  • 3D sponge flowers
  • Hand cut sequin petals,
  • Trailing vines
  • Decorative embroidery stitches for adding details.

As well as traditional textile materials Jessica will also show you how to incorporate recycled and waste materials such as plastic packaging and papers into your artwork. At the end of the workshop Jessica will show you how to secure your fabric in the embroidery hoop so that it is framed up ready for you to display in your home. This is a technique based class so each person will be a able to create a design that is unique to them.

In this 2 hour long class, you will create your own unique floral embellished hoop to take home and hang on the wall.

This class is suitable for beginners wanting to try something new as well as those with more experience in textiles that would like to expand their skills and techniques. No previous stitch experience is required as Jessica will teach you all the techniques that you will need to know for the class.

All materials are included in the ticket price, all you have to bring along is yourself and a willingness to be creative!
