Creative Recycling Embroidery and Stitch Class
Get creative and learn how to repurpose and recycle materials to create your own pieces of textiles art! Embroidery artist Jessica Grady will show you techniques to use meals, paper, plastic and fabrics to create sculptural, decorative textiles pieces through various embroidery techniques. You do not need to have any previous knowledge of embroidery as everything will be shown in the class.
This 1 hour long class is suitable for beginners wanting to try something new as well as those with more experience in textiles that would like to expand their skills and techniques.

Once you buy this session, you will automatically be able to log in and stream the workshop online. Along with the class, you will also receive a link to download a booklet which will give you tips tricks and advice.
The booklet will also say what materials you will need. This workshop can be done with materials which you can buy or have at home, however if you want your an add a lucky dip bag with everything you need!

What's else will you need?
Jessica is a contemporary embroidery artist who works from her studio in Leeds with the assistance of her studio cat Spencer the tabby! She create colourful and highly tactile textiles and sculptures that utilise many recycled and waste materials. She also teaches workshops and courses across the country to schools, private groups and organisations. Jessica’s work has been sold and exhibited across the UK and Europe and she is also a Crafts Council Directory maker. She was awarded the Embroiderers Guild Scholar award in 2018 for her textile practice.
